Cristian Agresti

My story in bakery and artisan crafts has been created over 4 generations. An anecdote that we always want to tell comes from Vittorio De Sica’s film “The Ciociara”, a film set during the war when there was a lot of hunger. In the film all the bread and desserts are made by Grandfather Salvatore.
There are some scenes in the film where children eat dark bread. Why dark? Because Grandfather Salvatore began to produce cocoa-flavored bread to make sure the children ate with gusto.

I grew up surrounded by the smells and flavors of the past, when the simple things were the most delicious and this is precisely what gave me my passion for the art of pastry making. I have absorbed all of these traditions, skills and passion over the years and it is a great satisfaction to now find them every day in my confectionery creations.
DiCristian is my artisan bakery where tradition meets innovation and creates perfection.
